Richard Gates

Rick married Janie Yuguchi, a special education teacher, in Los Angeles on February 27th, 1982. They have two daughters -- Katy, born in April 1986, and Kelsey, born in May 1989. Rick was hospitalized due to an attack of cardiomyopathy in November 1989, and took a year off from work. He resumed acting for a short while, but it had lost it's luster completely. He walked away from the profession to focus on raising his kids in 1992. Rick returned to the stage in 2010, doing "As You Like It" in a local (LA) theatre. He dabbles in scene workshops for fun (with Joan Darling), and acted in a short film with Sundance writer/director Peter Gazdeg in 2016.
